It shows how the staying power of vows tends to fade over time, I guess. The concept of moral psychology is a good one, but practicing applied ethics is a continuous activity. I think it's important to mimic Aurelius in this and be willing to admit wrong at the drop of a hat. As horrible as this sounds at first, I find it to be freeing. Thanks for reading and commenting!
