I of course think the best way to preserve these kinds of memories is through a documentary movie. Pictures, letters, etc. can come alive through the “Ken Burns effect.” A fictionalized version, either in novel or movie form, would allow for more drama, but I prefer the more truthful, honest depictions of the past as you’ve done in this essay. 🤗
